[With Wu-Tang Clan fans wanting to hear a new album, longtime affiliate/producer 4th Disciple speaks to about the crew’s brand in 2015.]
I see the Wu-Tang Clan brand on a renaissance. I’m making a reemergence to come back. I’m going to need the people’s support for that as well.
The whole Clan needs the people’s support but I’m striving to bring back what the people have been missing, the elements from the Wu-Tang influence that a lot of people missed.
A lot of people say “The Clan doesn’t make that music,” that’s what I hear a lot. People say, “They don’t make it like ‘this’ anymore. They don’t make it like ‘that’ anymore. We want to hear ‘this,’ we want to hear 4th Disciple with the Clan.”
They want to hear those combinations that made Wu-Tang what it was.
That’s what I’m striving to bring back, I want to give people what they want.
