You literally are going against your own point
core work alone will work more of the body than pike pushups
the core and shoulders are different muscles.......
a proper workout allows you work each muscle group exclusively. The majority of this video are pushups, core and squats and lunges. Don't get me wrong they are great, however to get a more complete workout or or strengthen other muscles you have to do other exercises. There are other workouts. Im not shyttin on the video its great exposure to those who dont know of the various bw exercises out there. If you want shoulders like boulders pikes get the job done.
like i said its a good video, great exposure to those who dont know of various be exercises. there are tons more for each muscle groups, triceps, biceps, back, shoulders, calfs, core. this isn't an all inclusive video where its supposed to list every single bw exercise, i get that. its a good video (im agreeing with you) i just think the inclusion of pike pushups would have made it better. if you dont think so thats ok, some cats dont see the value in doing overhead presses/push presses/shoulder presses but be in the gym all day squatting, deadlifting and benching...thats fine for them. i have no concerns whatsoever.
