Hollywood rewards their earners. You make enough for the studios they'll find a way to drop an Oscar on you.

Oceans 8 is considered the first $100 million bomb, what the hell cost so much? Barely shooting at the met gala? Anne Hathaway's rider? Yeah, they was in the same movie, barely speak to each other. I don't know what Warner Bros would have done if a sequel was greenlit.
