Let's assume the tiger is wild with no kind of "training" from humans.

The tiger easily.....not even close. Tigers are a little bit faster since they can top out at 40 mph sprinting. Pits are more in the 25-30-ish range. Plus a tiger can easily jump up into a tree with their crazy leaping ability.

This means the tiger can get out of the fight and escape if it really needed to. By comparison, a pit has ZERO chance of escaping from a motivated tiger.

Another issue is that cats are generally better hunters than dogs. Cats use an ambush style of hunting. Even fat, lazy house cats can go outside and catch a bird, eat it and leave the bones on your door step. The vast majority of domesticated dogs would never be able to catch a bird. They've been bred in ways that make them less effective at stealth. A tiger could ambush all three pits and maul the fukk outta them.


In a straight up fight....the tiger has bite force PSI of 1,050 while a pit is somewhere in the 230-250 range. Some say a tiger's bite is about 2x that of a lion. Plus big cats have claws so they have the left and right paw plus their jaws. One swipe from a tiger could cause massive internal injuries to a pit. Plus...the pit's aggressive temperament would make it an easy kill since it would never give up. 3 of them would certainly be capable of doing damage....but......no.
