2Pac was enamored with Aaliyah and deeply wanted to sign her and work on an album for her before his passing – so says Suge Knight.

While serving his lengthy sentence, the incarcerated mogul called into the Art of Dialogue for a new conversation published on Thursday (February 13) and revealed that Pac had big plans to work with the songstress.

“2pac wanted to sign Aaliyah,” Suge said, explaining that they’d seen her perform when they went to see Gladys Knight in Las Vegas and Pac was sold.

“[He said], ‘I wanna do an album with Aaliyah,'” he added. “Pac was so excited. I ain’t never seen that little muthafukka so happy. He wasn’t thinking about signing nobody else. That’s the person he said out of all the girls and women he’d ever seen, he thought she was the biggest star and had the best voice ever.

“So I figure if things wouldn’t have happened the way they happened, Pac woulda been doing an album with Aaliyah. […] He lost his mind over Aaliyah. He talked about her days and days. I got tired of hearing it.”

I’ve been listening to his interviews with AOD and it’s the most open Suge has been on tape. There’s still your obvious Suge tales but its been interesting. Suge talks in code and dances around topics that he can’t talk about in the open but if you read between the lines he’s dropping interesting things.

One part he basically says Orlando was in Vegas that night to set pac up. They knew pac was gonna rush him so they sent him there to set everything off. They wanted to kill pac but wanted to make it look like retaliation.

Pac knew who Orlando was and Orlando was showing up to everything where Pac was at. House of blues, restaurants etc. on some intimidation shyt. Pac had enough by the time the Vegas situation happened
