The lines were pretty long on Friday in Wauwatosa (bytch-ass Scott Walker's old homebase, now a solidly left suburb.) They snaked down two flights of stairs and took about an hour to get through - that's probably about as long as I can remember for a race that isn't presidential, senatorial or gubernatorial.
There's a lot more on our ballot that's not being reported nationally but has a lot of impact here: State school superintendent (clear ideological delineation between candidates), local school board candidates (same deal), and countywide judges. Plus, there's purposely vague language to amend existing voter ID laws statewide and attempts to make it easier to stack the local school board with right-wingers. I did my part to save humanity.
