It reeks of fake piousness and being dishonest. Straight up performative theater. You would forsake your own country and livelihood for others that don't even share your belief, real or not.

I've pointed it before, both sides want the other dead. What exactly is Biden going to do? Stop selling weapons? They'll get them elsewhere. It's cute that people think that they can distill this down to this one incident.

This is international politics and diplomacy has long been thrown to the wayside. You have our two allies in the Middle East in Israel and Saudi Arabia (sometimes). On the other side, you have Iran and their Axis of Resistance with Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis. Hamas does a lot of their activity with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. You have these militias attacking US interests in the Red Sea, trying to hurt/cripple the US. So that you know, 15% of international commerce and 30% of global container traffic flows through the Red Sea. Iran and these groups have an ideological hatred for the United States plus Iran gives these groups hundreds of millions of dollars annually. Syria is sympathetic to Iran. There is a reason why the US is there. All of this is fukked up, yeah but next to nobody is trying to end this with a diplomatic solution. Hamas wants Israel destroyed; Israel keeps Hamas under their thumb to an extent so that they can advance their settlement building and not have to talk peace talks, essentially using Hamas as the boogeyman.

Last I checked, it was the United States that created the three-stage peace plan that the parties are still considering. It takes a truly pompous and ignorant viewpoint on what is happening over there in the Middle East and make it black and white. There is a lot of gray and that doesn't mean that the US is handling all of it right either. However, why we are over there has implications on the world, not just the Middle East and someone has to do the dirty work. As the world's only superpower, that job falls to us.
This post was typed from a computer in Langley, Virginia :mjlol:

Israel (trying to drag us into WW3) and Saudi Arabia (did 9/11) are our allies and Iran (kicked our stooge out of their country 40 years ago) represents the head of the "Axis of Resistance" and the ideological hatred driving them to try hurt US, which is why we have to keep fukking shyt up over there and putting our thumb on the scale because we're the only ones strong enough to keep the status quo of getting Amazon Prime Free Same Day Delivery of fidget spinners from Vietnam.

This some shyt right out of the Bush II admin :heh:

If you truly care about people how about voting for someone who while yes flawed will at least protect some people in this country who Trump won’t?
If you truly care about people you have to vote for the guy actively aiding and abetting a genocide? Do you people hear yourselves? We all agree that the other guy is worse, which is why no one is advocating voting for him. Some people just have a moral red line, even if you don't and there is absolutely nothing Joe Biden could do that would make you withhold your vote for him. I'm not even arguing against voting for Biden on practical grounds, but it's the handwaving away and utter contempt for the moral abstention argument by referring to it as a "moral high horse" that proves how full of shyt y'all are. You simply hate Trump more than you love humanity because this country specializes in producing this apathetic, antisocial, morally parsimonious mindset y'all wear like a badge of honor.

Progressives talk about liberals virtue signaling and not really caring about people/issues as they say yet are willing to let tons of people in this country suffer because of a war thousands of miles away (and let’s be honest some will never get over Bernie losing)

It seems as if some progressive empathy is strictly based on if they think you’re in a country that was colonized or not. Like they can’t separate civilians from F’d up goverment in their countries

If you truly care about people how about voting for someone who while yes flawed will at least protect some people in this country who Trump won’t?

Otherwise get off your moral high horse and admit it’s about wanting to hold power in office more then actually wanting to help people
This happens on both sides - a lot.

This dude is morality trolling to the max. Good God.

If truly cared about humanity or Palestinians for that matter your vote for Biden to do as much harm reduction as possible. Miriam Adelson will make sure the West Bank is completely annexed. What do you think will happen to those Palestinians?

Are you guys aware Gaza is winding down? People care about the economy, not this.

What's the difference between morality trolling and acting out of a moral imperative?

If truly cared about humanity or Palestinians for that matter your vote for Biden to do as much harm reduction as possible. Miriam Adelson will make sure the West Bank is completely annexed. What do you think will happen to those Palestinians?
Again, do you think we are unaware of the dire situations the Palestinians find themselves in? The moral abstainers have been concerned about Palestinian rights for far longer than the Park Slope liberals who are chanting "Vote Biden or die!". Throwing around reports about Miriam Adelson soliciting Trump are not the silver bullet y'all think it is when you refuse to address the fact that the guy you're asking us to support engaged in atrocity propaganda to facilitate the murder of 35,000 people. "Vote for Biden's genocide because Trump's genocide might be worse!" is a dog that won't hunt, so find another line. That argument works for you because you find the word Trump to be worse than the word genocide.

There difference is the sincerity. You don’t genuinely care about the Palestinians. You want Trump back in office and you’re using Palestinian lives as a pawn to achieve that goal.

I'm not sure in which way you mean it's winding down. In terms of the news cycle or in terms of the actual conflict? Either way, I agree that if the economy was great then Biden would be in a much better position to win. I'm not making the argument that Biden is going to lose because of Gaza. I'm even open to the argument that Biden has taken the politically expedient position on this conflict because the Zionists have more political power than the humanitarians and people with a moral compass. I've been talking about what is morally right, not electoral math. But in a razor thin margin election like this one is shaping up to be, every voting block matters.

Oh ok.

Just out of curiosity, because you know my motivations better than I do, why do I want Trump back in office?
