Can't really speak about the latinos in the U.S tbh but at least in south america, most of the immigrants don't want more immigrants and a good number tends to demonize or fall into disinformation games about other immigrants. There's a lot of "we ain't like THEM" narratives at least from what I've seen over here.Yeah crazy. How do you get accused of open borders and also lose the latino vote.
No idea if something similar happens in North America but I wouldn't be shocked about it.
