IDK how anyone can still think Gaza was the primary issue? Y’all think Latinos + Young white men give af about that?

Gaza was a very minor issue.

Trump won because:

1. He says hateful things, which makes hateful people feel good. This did not just help him with straight white men. People from marginalized or minority groups can also be hateful towards others.

2. The stupid ass “the economy was better under Trump” reasoning. People lack basic critical thinking skills.

Gaza wasn't the sole issue, but it was a canary in the coal mine about the fundamental issue. Which is that the Democratic consultant class has a fundamentally flawed understanding of the country and the electorate. They are completely captured by the racist, bigoted Liberal mindset when it comes to "junior" members of the Democratic coaltion - be it Arabs and Youth motivated by the genocide, or working class Latino and Black left behind by their neoliberal economics - and are more interested in chasing phantom approval from daddy Reagan Republicans. Gaza is instructive because it showed how callous and arrogant the Democratic elites are when it comes to countering-messaging and responding to people in their coalition who "get out of line". It's a perfect encapsulation of how the Democratic Party doesn't actually stand for anything, which becomes even more apparent when they up the ante by making the election a referendum on fascism. They're a party run by bloodless managerial consultants who are terrified of actual ideology and the power of moral politics, which is why all the aspiring Clyburn staffers in here were completely dismissive about Gaza and completely missed the mark on the racial and class realignment power of Trump are now trying to launder their ignorance and immorality with appeals to inevitability. If the Democratic Party is to become worth a shyt again, it must rediscover basic moral and political principles and become doggedly disciplined in promoting and pursuing them instead of being completely reactionary to whatever evil bullshyt the Republicans are also doing. It automatically gives Republicans the advantage of being the stage setters. People respond to power, and Trump signals power more than the Democrats.

Like I said goofy, us men gotta have to have a stiff spine for the women in our lives b/c they more than anyone will be negatively affected by this presidency. It's unbecoming for men to be whining like a bytch right now like @Outlaw and others in here talmbout taking ambien to sleep. Maybe this is a safe space for y'all, but this better not be how you're acting in front of your wives/daughters. :hubie:

So you a Clarence Thomas level c00n that bows to white men like a gay simp. Let your daughter or wife get a medical issue involving their reproductive system, and you tell them to die in the name of 'strength.'

The Arab vote is tiny.

Let's see the data, but my guess is Gaza depressed a shytload of young voters and potential first time voters. Even if you don't believe that, you have to acknowledge the insane amount of political collateral that this administration has expended on it was damaging and a huge distraction over the last year.

"pro-immigrant" in this case being, "migrants are human beings". Dems had a bipartisan immigration reform package that Republicans killed for Trump.

The one legit criticism of Biden administration is that they moved to slow on immigration. They should’ve been undercutting trumps most popular position from day 1
Not a day has gone by the last three months where I haven't seen a young 20-yr old white male in public rocking that red hat. Not a single day.

Dems have to be deeply disturbed by the inroads R's have made with the youth and latinos.
Does this have to do more so with idolizing Trump or the actual Republican Party?
Problem is now a lot of the loudest liberal voices are flocking to the Republican party. Dems kept shytting on them for years and now they switched.
What liberals defected to the Republican Party?

No policy, no positions.

She definitely had positions and VP doesn’t matter
If you want to just say that a section of the country is irredeemably evil, so be it. But where do you go from there? Nowhere. Good luck.

My argument is that people's views, even horrific ones, are based on material realities. Running campaigns to address those realities is a more successful strategy with an actual shot of going somewhere.
You’re making a lot of blanket statements here. What should she have addressed that she didn’t?
