Social programs get cut. Republicans and Dems put restrictions and preconditions on them. Low income housing isn’t the same as free. If the cost of gas is high. Food stamps ain’t coveting it. Your car breaks. There’s not a social program to fix it for 100 bucks.

Again food stamps went up with inflation. Housing vouchers went up with inflation. They actually DO have programs that help with fixing cars or paying rent/utilities and all that went UP with inflation.

Gas cost is actually low right now.

Kamala ran on giving out houses and money for college, which is exactly what low earners need help with. They still broke towards trump.

I don't think all the pro LGBTQ makes much of an impact when it comes to swing voters. You're gonna have a percentage of voters who are gonna be loud about anti-fakkit shyt and they are always gonna vote right, but swing voters are more stressed about how much $100 is gonna get them when they go to the store.

Also when it comes to illegals coming here and becoming naturalized, the Dems strategy on this mystifies me. These guys come from traditionally conservative religious cultures and more than likely will align with the conservative values of Republicans once they become citizens. The latino vote is what boosted Trump and it's not completely unexpected or it shouldn't be.

You just hope lessons are learned and they have a better strategy come 2028.

Man, it really setting that I won't ever see a woman president or the restoration of their freedom in my lifetime. I just feel really bad for my wife more than anything.

They put restrictions and verifications on them that de facto force you off. Go look at how they restrict what is allowed to be bought on food stamps cause they made up some imaginary welfare queen buying steaks and lobsters with food stamps or selling them.


Check the wait times for approving many of these programs. You can’t wait two weeks to get your car fixed if you have to be at work the next day or take time off to go sit at an office filling out paperwork for verification.

These things are initially messy and slow to keep people from using it. Just like VA benefits.
