Yea I feel like folks forgot about this from the last time. The polls don’t mean anything.

Another thing that I’ve been struggling to communicate is that the whole “cancelling out my husband’s vote” shyt and this idea that white/conservative women were voting for Harris was all nonsense. All of the focus and blame should be squarely on the vast majority of white people who actively chose this man three times despite EVERYTHING.

Well America you did it again. This is why I made a post last night telling people not to expect or entertain Republicans voting for Harris. Hopefully the Dems get the house to keep things in check. Truthfully I didn’t expect either candidate to make things better or worse than what they currently are, but I see no reason Trump will feel the need to “play by the rules” now. And the real unfortunate part is he will get to replace Thomas in SCOTUS.

Trump should loudly claim Project 2025 in his acceptance speech. This country gets exactly what it deserves. Just embarrassing.

To be clear, I have no strong feelings towards Kamala one way or another. I just didn't want Trump back in the White House. But he'll be there and there's nothing to be done about it anymore. I think any semblance of an American democracy is done, we're entering uncharted territory, and things are going to get really chaotic once Trump gets going. All that's left to do is figure out where we, individually, are gonna go from here.

I took the day off work tomorrow, figuring I'd be too tired to be productive. Going to spend that time looking into the possibility of leaving. I don't know if it'll be realistic for me, but I'll see. I also live in a pretty deep blue state, so maybe it'll be enough to just stay here. Someone else said it, just stack your chips, try to stay out of the way, look after you and yours.
