That's one way of getting people shot. My wife did canvassing one year for the ACLU and if you go to the wrong house they get pissed. No surprise he was mostly hiring black folks to do this.

I remember my first year canvassing on election day I was hitting houses and on my route was a registered republican with a doormat that said "We Dont Call 911" with abunch of guns on it. I still knocked because I'm good with real-time deescelation but I looked at the R by the name, the door mat, and hit a thinking about potential outcomes
