Plus the type of assets it would take to move up to 4 you might as well just trade for a proven commodity.

A proven player would cost way less not to mention that AZ is picking 4th so whoever wants a QB has to move up to 3. That tweet doesn't make much sense. Cards would need NE to stay put and draft a non QB. Why would they do that when they could get a haul for that pick and get what they need with a lower pick?

Chicago and Washington are drafting QB's so NE has all the leverage.

Reek da freek

2016
  • Tyreek Hill | Round 5, Pick 165
    WR, West Alabama

2007

  • Dwayne Bowe | Round 1, Pick 23
    WR, LSU

God damn I forgot about a lot of names we drafted. Especially at WR. We really don’t have a good rep with finding true number 1s or 2s.

Since the 2000s outside of Bowe, Reek, and Rice most WRs ever drafted have been special teams, bench, or someone to fill the role. Also Tyreek played RB and was a special teams player in college more than a WR. He developed into what he is now.

Lmbo this is funny take a look at when you get a chance

So do yall really think we’re going to find a WR in the draft? History says hell no. :snoop:

Outside of Rice who was the last WR we really hit on in the draft?

I rather us just do this honestly

This draft is different. There's probably 10 legit WR's who can contribute or be stars. The odds of not striking out are higher. I don't even think they need to take one in the first. Get defensive or O-line help and a WR in the second or third.

They have pick #32. AZ isn't trying to move down that low so you'd have to send Sneed (he'd have to be willing to sign with them) and a multitude of picks. There's teams who could offer a better package. KC will be picking at the bottom of the 1st for the foreseeable future. That doesn't make sense for AZ.

Chiefs built this back to back champion roster through the draft. Don't give up picks because they're going to need them when the current guys like McDuffie are up for contracts. You want a #1 WR sign a free agent. If need be you can trade for one and only have to give up day 2 picks.

Teams lose sight of the bolded, and find themselves in long stretches of being mediocre to outright bad because of it. People bring up the Rams this season as if that's both normal, and not a case of that team wildly overachieving against expectations.

Might as well manage cap space so they can re-sign their absolute must keep guys, and use the draft to develop depth for rotations/replacements as needed.
