Finn is a world class talent, has an unwavering work ethic and is a consummate professional. You can plug him in almost anywhere & unless you actively sabotage him, he will work. You'd be a fukking moron to not resign a guy of that caliber.

Unfortunately for him, the main event scene is crowded at the moment and they've got guys they've invested a lot of time and stories into that have dibs ahead of him BUT he had a very credible story of his own that got some real run for the World Title. That's a thread that was never resolved and they can return to with no problem, World Champion that never lost is a layup for crowd investment given TV time and consistency.
And at anytime you can break out the demon and have an instant top babyface

I need Nick Khan to release at least 100 people. This hoarding is ridiculous. Finn getting big money in 2024, is crazy. Theres plenty of people in nxt to bring up. Creating a third brand just creates more work for triple h. He doesnt even have a path to sole ownership anymore, so why would he try that. Crazy tbh.

Think you mean a 4th brand since NXT is their third. Plus I don't know how much appetite there is for an additional WWE brand given there's now pro wrestling on every night of the week.

Have Drew win the WHC at Clash
Have a triple threat at MITB with Drew v Damian v Finn. Punk interferes to cost Drew the title again. Finn wins.
Summerslam you have Drew v Punk and Finn v Damian

Or

Finn wins MITB, Damian stays champ until Summerslam. Wins his match and Finn cashes in on him to regain a championship at the same event he originally won one years ago

And you see even with those 2 suggestions, how convoluted it could get trying to wedge him into the title picture because they have so many directions they can go with the current players. Once Seth & Punk are back, every legitimate mainline PPV is basically a no-go.

I don't want him picking up more Ls in close matches like we just saw during Seth's run.

besides challenging Priest and maybe a run with Cody I don’t see Finn doing much in the main event title scene

Finn probably doesn’t care either. He’s had a easy yet successful career these two years teaming up with Judgement Day

With the long reigns we’ve seen, it wouldn’t be a bad thing for the WHC to have a few short ones. If you think back to the Attitude Era, there were a bunch of short ones bc there were multiple guys that could hold it

I think we as fans get understandably attached to some wrestlers and want them to have a memorable title run. But most wrestlers don't see it that way.

Finn is 42 years old and has already been in WWE for a decade, with a World Title win and apox. a two year run as a main act in one of the company's brands. That's an incredibly successful run as it is. If you are WWE, you pay him to stay because he's a perfect utility player, he even went back and worked NXT for fukk sakes. Plug him in any spot and he'll produce. If the necessity arrives that you need him to fill in a world champ role (at this point, injuries or a final nostalgia run would be the only options), you do it. But at the end of the day, they don't need him for that specific role, they want him because of how useful he is.

Not that different from Dolph to be honest (regardless of how anyone thinks who is better as a wrestler, I'm talking from a business perspective), you keep those guys until they become too redundant and too expensive. Shit, this is probably Balor's last big contract with the E' so it makes complete sense he takes it
