2019 has so far been the best year in boxing in a long time...

Let's put our personal feelings about certain fighters and fanhood aside for a second, 2019 has been LIT so far for boxing, and we still have some potentially great fights left to see me. I just want everyone to pause and appreciate this shyt.

On a hardcore front, I agree, it’s not as hot as some of the last few years as far as epic matches, however, from a casual front it is picking up steam big time.

ESPN and FOX have a huge role in this, FOX is just getting warmed up as well. We have never seen this type of attention before with the NFL and also all the free shoulder programming. This is like planting the seeds for an even bigger harvest. We are only in quarter 3 of the first year in a 4 year deal.

There is more casual attention now and it is bubbling up for huge 2020 and 2021 IMO.

Wilder/Fury and a Bud/Spence is on the horizon.

you know 2013 was special when tim bradley of all fighters was involved in the best fight of that year which had several strong FOTY candidates...and its an ATG type of fight too..plus the only downtime in that year was in the first 2 months..2019 had some type lulls with boxing

Yup 2017 and 2018 was better but as 2019 looked bleak , it’s been much better than I expected. We can talk about PBCs BS cards but they definitely had 3 maybe 4 of the best fights of the year in J Rock/Hurd, Manny/Thurman, Spence/Porter and even Lipinets/Peterson can be in the conversation.
