January 7, 2017, day of mobilization against the FCFA was of the opinion of all, a historical success. From Dakar to Paris, from Kinshasa to Brussels via Bamako and London, African citizens have responded massively to the call.
The conference rooms of the 14 countries where this transcontinental mobilization took place were packed to the brim.
The front-line movement against the franc of the French colonies of Africa already reveals in the hearts of African youth the epilogue of a serial of seventy years of economic slavery.
This mobilization, the first of its kind, was the opportunity for the initiators to create an ad-hoc committee made up of economic, financial, legal and social experts.
This committee will have to draft a roadmap which will first be submitted to the African leaders who will then forward it to the French authorities. In case of rejections, the leaders of the "front anti CFA Franc" are ready to change method.
"If this roadmap is rejected by the French leaders, we will brandish the threat of the generalized boycott of French products that are not necessities and French companies present on the African continent," said Kemi Seba, NGO URPANAF, to our editorial staff.
Youth, he continues, is ready for it, and we will show them that it is not only France that can sanction countries that do not go in the direction of its interests.
