Joseph Pennacchio, a Republican state senator in New Jersey, said that he opposed limiting the state and local tax deduction but that New Jersey should focus less on gaming the system and more on lowering its tax burden.

its hard to sit here and say that there's no truth to that :yeshrug:

i mean i know that this is HL and democrats and the unions they leech off dont have to be accountable for anything, ever. but maybe this will give some of these places a kick in the ass

What do you expect the Republican senator to stay?

Is it not gaming the system that Republican states level little to no taxes, generate little revenue, and are funded largely by Federal tax dollars collected from blue states.

I've explained this to you several times but choose to ignore it.

Your ignorance is laughable.

coastal elitism if i've ever heard it :jaymad:

my post wasnt actually wrong, you're just butthurt because you live in NY. NY's state taxes it chooses to level on people who live there, are really are not the concern of the rest of the country or the federal government

and again, you can still claim property tax up to 10 grand a year. most people dont pay more than that. the standard deduction is doubled, which makes up for a lot of peoples' state taxes. i live in mass and paid 1800 dollars in state taxes off of almost 50k. but my standard deduction was doubled another 6 thousand dollars. so yeah, rich liberals will have to pay more. tough shyt :skip:

im sorry, but thats my honest reaction to the "you arent allowed to criticize local democrat spending" sentiment that that dude is always shilling about. nyc needs to get its fukkin shyt together and stop taxing its residents out of its spending issues. thats not really a debate, its a fact. @88m3 if you want outside sympathy for your locality being affected by the tax bill, then its also open to outside criticism :childplease:

again, fukk the republicans and fukk this tax bill. but my point stands

At the end of the day cac you're just throwing around catch phrases and straw man, it's obvious you don't understand economics or the tax code.

:manny:
so go run for a position in government and change it, we need more immense talents like yourself

The US needs to borrow almost $300 billion this week

Uncle Sam needs to borrow a ton of money this week — in the middle of a fight with its biggest creditor.
The United States plans to sell about $294 billion of debt, according to the Treasury Department. That's the highest for a week since the record set during the 2008 financial crisis.

Federal revenue is declining because of President Trump's tax cuts, so the government needs to borrow more to make ends meet. At the same time, Washington's borrowing costs have climbed rapidly in recent months.

"The amount of debt coming on the market this week is extremely large," said Rick Rieder, global chief investment officer of fixed income at BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager.
