This is a pretty horrible comparison imo. Besides the wildcat Pennington was getting money that season. The Redskins offense is no where near as gimmicky as the wildcat.

I remember the only game that offense really wrecked anybody was the Patriots game when Sporano introduced it. THey used it more and more sparingly as the season went on. Pennington just played well and they had a solid defense overall.

team is missing 2 multiple pro bowl guys on D (Orakpo/Meriweather) and Carriker a solid run stopper. they should be better next year

You know a running back was taking the snaps in the wildcat in Miami right?...and a QB takes the snap in a pistol read option so he is a real threat to throw. The defensive end can't be in two places at once so it will be hard to completely stop the run game. Next year they will probably use less read option and more naked boots once the Oline is sured up
