2012 is the most explosive scoring squad of all time. I’ve always said that. The thing they lacked that would hurt them against 1992 and 2024 is they had no bigs. 92 with Robinson and Ewing and 2024 with Embiid, AD, and Bam would be a lot. But the shooting and playmaking on 2012 squad is the best ever.

This is very much true.

This was right around the time that America was at the top of world talent and before the rest of the world started producing high level talent more than America

Last 2 American MVPs were Harden and Westbrook (who we all now know to be frauds, and a last desperate gasp of a dying nation ) in 17 and and 18 so the thread tracks

There's a chance this or that team was more talented, but in terms of being the best in the world, this was America's last breath
