I wouldnt mind if they ended it after the inter dimensional traveling scene though. The scene in the victorian era room is a little much

It's different, and was insanely groundbreaking. Kubrik had vision like a mug, but sometimes he too ahead of himself and the time he was in.

However, this was a movie that was, for the most part, universally loved at the time.

Imo everything in the movie works perfectly, right until the very end.

Im not sure if its the first, but everything has done the "computer going bad" story since from halo 1 to Moon etc, so it lost a bit of luster there from the biters.

Personally for kubrick films I have clockwork orange and shining above it.

Shining is dope as fukk. but idk theres something special about 2001.. I can honestly say its one of my all time favorite movies

Whats crazy is theyre actually pretty similar films though

The Shining is the exact same idea as the hal sequence
