Wow. I'm literally listening to been there done that right now. Album had a few classic cuts on it. East coast west coast killaz was my shyt

I'm on the last song Fame right now. At the time, this album was a huge letdown but judging it off of it's own merit today, it's not that bad at all. It just wasn't anywhere close to the great work Dre had given us before.

I'm one of the few who always liked this album....2001 felt like a step back not musically but it was kinda depressing like Dre has to keep this fake image to sell records people wont let him be anything else.

This video might be the most authentic thing Dre has ever put out (esp the end with him living with his boyfriend and girlfriend lmao :mjlol:)

Fame was one of the better songs. King T had a really dope song to and another decent one

It's way better then Compton

You think so? I've recently come around to Compton. It threw me for a loop after the 1st few times I heard it then when I went back and revisited it like months after it came out just out of curiosity I found myself finding the album a lot more interesting then I previously did.

"Blunt Time" with RBX was crazy dope.

The problem with this album was too many random cats we had never heard of and never heard from again. If the album as whole was a lot tighter (Dre, King Tee, Budda) then it could of been dope.

Unfortunately it's just an average compilation with a couple of great tracks from a fledgling label with too many artists.

That's typically how an average new label sounds

A bunch of artists trying to find themselves and one established hit maker.

Also, who knew the guy who gave us shytting on the world would later be responsible for Gucci Mane.
