A number of those teams have major injuries, and in the case of the Knicks no depth. Bucks, 76ers, Raptors, Hornets, Hawks, Bulls, and Magic already had multiple starters coming into the season with injuries or just lost at least one. Atlanta and Toronto have specifically been beat down with injuries.

Are you saying that if the teams with losing records shoot less 3s and plays better defense they wouldn’t have a losing record the conferences would be better balanced
