2 New Beats..Emotional Style and Trap

So i didnt sleep last night night, just said fukk it and made this kinda emotional style type epic beat, im kinda feeling it

theres a little bit of a build up but full beat drops about 1 minute in
emotional style:

Made this other one yesterday, and finished eq'ing and trying to mix it, still sounds a little rough but not bad imo.

Both beats are pretty decent to me. I like the 2nd one more tho. You use some good sounds and shyt. I'd prolly say you need to construct better melodies. Nothing was really ear catching like that even though the sounds you used were on point. You definitely on to something though.

Keep at it breh. You'll improve in no time.

Thanks man! I appreciate the listen and feedback. Im definitely coming along slowly but surely lol I got some of the newer vsts a couple weeks ago so im working through the libraries seeing which sounds i like and what typically goes together..Its gonna be a long process for me but i think i'll get there eventually

The emotional style instrumental sounds like it would fit in a commercial. The slow tempo makes it hard to see an artist rapping or singing over it However for a commercial I think it would really flow. It all depends on what you were going for with the instrumental. at 1:14 where the 808 and the lead come in the sound gets cluttered so I would probably sidechain the kick or filter the lead so they wouldn't be as cluttered, you could also pan the two sounds to different sides. it's just my 2 cents on that one. Overall this is a good track with a nice feel to it.

the trappish instrumental is good also, its a great melody which flows well but that 808 kick and snare drum aren't getting along. the snare needs to stand out of the mix a little more. To give the snare more power I would layer it more. Panning would also help it.

Really appreciate that man! Im gonna go work on the mix for both of them now. Im just starting to get more in depth with my beats and working on mixing and adding automation and effects so I really do appreciate those tips you dropped.

And for that first beat i think i was working on a different beat and ended up playing a melody that i liked that didnt fit so i took that and tried to make another beat so i really have no idea what inspired that one or where i was really going with it was just going with whatever i thought sounded good

now that you mention it tho that beat could play in a movie or some shyt as their showing a montage of shyt happening haha dam i just thought of moive sequences going back and for between 2 ppl that are apart from each other and struggling with it maybe it only works in my mind tho lol
