:comeon:

'94 gets credit for '94 music... the '93 music that bled over into it is just an added plus.

Because you can take away Doggystyle, 36 Chambers, and Midnight Marauders, and Enta Da Stage...

And you'd STILL have Illmatic, Ready To Die, Southernplayalistic, The Diary, Creepin On A Come Up, and all types of other shyt.

And the singles? I already went in on that topic, so... yeah.

'93 was the beginning of a great era... '94 was where it REALLY happened.

1 from 94 (Illmatic)

Mannnn, I'm not gonna do the tricky shyt with you... you saw all them albums I named from '94, and you choose the one from the group you love to discredit most... you saw what I said.

What I said WAS... since you claim those late-'93 albums are wrongly credited as '94 music... EVEN IF YOU TOOK THEM OUT OF THE EQUATION, you still have the great music that came out in '94 that stands on its own.

nikkas just tryin' to be different, B... y'all hear about '94 so much, it's like "oh let's pick a year other than '94"... I ain't sayin' '93 was ass, never would say that... but it'd take a lot of revision and double talk to put it over '94.

Matter fact, shyt... '95 is a better match for '94 than '93 was...

And yes, I acknowledge fully that Doggystyle and 36 Chambers and so on and so forth.

But when you really, really bust down '93... and especially if you were actually avidly listening at the time... ain't a chance in hell them shyts match up. Not a chance.
