The concept of locking games scared a lot of consumers out there. But I'm glad they didn't do it or else, Sony will be digging their own grave.

A lot of quality indie developers (as well as the modding community) are putting in work on PC...console area is pretty stagnant IMO. If it wasn't for the PC side I probably wouldn't even care about gaming at this point

Very insightful video. I knew about EA bein on that bullshyt just off the whole NBA Live situation (which wasn't even mentioned), as well as noticing the general trend of developers pumpin out sequel after sequel.. but i didnt know it was a buncha struggle companies (relatively speaking) tryna sell the cheapest/most watered down crack now

Nice informative video however he kind of gave Nintendo a free pass. Nintendo has beem just as bad if not worse than EA in recent years. They don't even bother trying to make quality games for it's consoles just relying on being "innovative" making crappy games with gimmicky controllers. They only seem to make quality games for their handhelds and even though I like 3DS it seems to be regressing in production of quality games compared to DS.

What is a quality game though? Too many buttons have hurt video games as much as anything. Also changing cntrols on familiar franchises is dumb the transition should be seamless.

thats why handheld games re on the rise. fun games and none of the gimmicky bullshyt

Handheld are kinda huge in Japan. In fact, PSP is still selling well in there where in the west, it's good as dead since the release of Vita.

i mean i only buy certain sports games a year anyway. so i guess a video game crash wouldnt matter that much to me
