The NFC's #1 seed hosts the NFCCG for the first time since 2007. The Packers lost that game in Brett Favre's final game as GB's QB. Aaron Rodgers was on the sidelines as Favre threw a pass to Donald Driver in Overtime that the Giants picked off.
Aaron Rodgers has never hosted the NFCCG at home. A fact pronounced in the Packers L @ Atlanta in the 2016 NFCCG.
Aaron Rodgers has been terrible in NFCCGs. Even in the win at Chicago in 2010, he was underwhelming and carried by a great defense. Seattle in 2014, Atlanta in 2016, and the 49ers in 2019 all destroyed the Packers.
The Packers defense will have to contend with another future Hall of Famer. Mike Pettine is the worst defensive coordinator left standing in these playoffs. Brady and his cadre of weapons will run circles around the Packers defense UNLESS Pettine uses his cadre of pass rushers all at the same time i.e. Smith brothers, Rashan Gary, and Kenny Clark in the middle.
The Bucs got over their hurdle with the Saints who had dominated them this season. Due in part to turnovers by the Saints that led to 3 TDs.
The Bucs DOMINATED the Packers in October. A 38-10 score that got out of hand in the 2nd quarter after a strong Packers start. Rodgers had his worst day in years. GB's defense was confused. Will it happen in Lambeau? Or will there be payback?
It's Brady vs. Rodgers for all the marbles in the NFC and a trip to the Super Bowl.
We never got both in a Super Bowl matchup before. But its here now!
