It's a mock 80's territory show. It's supposed to be a live-action, found footage VHS-era wrestling show. Think of it as the AWA on ESPN, but with a comedic twist. It's fun!
As much as I dislike silliness in my rasslin', this somehow works.
Found footage wrestling :ohhh:

I know it’s not horror, which is what we typically think of when found footage is talked about, but you have my attention none the less.

So was IMPACT doing this before WWE did their Southpaw Regional Wrestling skits? or did SRW inspire these?

For context WWE started their skits in March 2017.
Also @AStrangeName "returns" in the title is spelled with a "M." :hubie:
The IPWF was around from 1973-1991. Rumor has it that the bulk of their tape library was destroyed in a warehouse fire back in '93. The few remaining tapes fetch top dollar on ebay and in tape trading circles.

I should have expected this answer :russ:

Should have just used Google, but I wanted to add more to the conversation other than the spelling correction. 😂

Btw, Frank The Butcher was Rhyno's gimmick in Southpaw. It was him and Seth as The Butchers. 😄
