Look at how sea creatures evolved into the same shapes. Fish, mammal, bird, or reptile.
It's because of the water. Shapes them.
I think any intelligent being would be humanoid cause they would need hands to put all the shyt together. If a dolphin is smarter than people... doesn't matter. They can't build.
