I'm gonna hit up Five Spot. I used to live in Clinton Hills so I need to patronize some of the spots.

Good list, but seriously? That's it? :dahell: in a place where 2 million blacks reside, there should be a hell lot more.

Maybe she only felt like doing 100

Recommendations or reviews on any of these places?
Amy Ruth's
Londells
Soco
Billies black
Sugar cane
Make my cake
Melba's
Moca lounge
Negril village

I've been to a some others but wasn't impressed (Sylvia's fell off and Red Rooster is very overrated)

Pink Tea cup seems hit or miss.

Amy Ruth's is not black owned, it's owned by two Jewish brothers. I personally spoke to one of them last summer. The staff is Black and Hispanic the owners are not.

This puts the rest of the list under question.

Carl Redding (who's grandmother's name was Amy Ruth) opened up the restaurant in '99. It appears he was the owner until Amy Ruth's went under bankruptcy in 2009.

Looks like it's currently owned by Morning Star Restaurant Group and the managing partner is Lawrence Jordan. Did a quick search and couldn't find a pic of the guy or any bio to identify race (not saying I don't believe you)
