exotic places and faces

I've already decided that Puerto Rico will be my next vacation. Everyone who goes there always stays in San Juan or Carolina(not a bad spot), so I want a different and unique experience. What's good with these 2 island spots? Which is better (or do you prefer)? For the Ricans on this board...
