ATLANTA – Employees said rapper Yung Mazi was about to order his food when he was shot at the Buckhead Waffle House early Tuesday morning.
Atlanta Police responded to gun shots at the Waffle House at3016 Piedmont Ave, NE—still decorated for the holidays—just after 3 a.m.
Yung Mazi, whose real name is Jibril, was shot in the chest.
But this wasn't the first time he's been shot.
He was stable enough to tell police that he has been shot 10 times prior to this morning, including once in the head.
“I’m a real dude. Some people don’t like real dudes. That’s cool. I’m not hatin’. I’m not made,” the rapper said in a YouTube video on June 30, explaining why he keeps getting shot. The “Free My Bruddas 2” rapper also attributes many shootings to the expensive jewelry he wears.
