This has bugged me out since learning about the Mayan Pyramids when I was like 13, I mean these things are everywhere and some of them even predate the Egyptian Pyramids

These are civilizations that shouldn’t have had much contact with one another so why was this structure so widely used and for what purpose researching this a lot of them seem to have had precise astronomical and geometrical significance specifically the Egyptian, Mayan and Mauritius Pyramids interesting stuff

Nothing
Because Africans traveled all over the world and built them:troll:. But seriously i have always wondered how cultures that never interacted with each other for thousands of yrs still managed to build structures that were very similar. My guess is they used hills or mountains as a model for building Pyramids

I don't think it takes a genius to figure out stacking stuff on top of each other is a good idea to build structures with each layer getting smaller so it was probably universal.
True seems like a lot of the trouble to go through though some of these Pyramids are estimated to have taken generations to build

I meeeeeeeaaan technically all these cultures did originate from Africa but by that time were 1000’s of years removed and some of the Pyramids found in the America’s Predate the African ones by quite a while. Mountains were likely the inspiration for a lot of these pyramids but the significance for the majority of them seem to be astronomical in nature across the board Giza Pyramids line up with the stars of Orion, Mauritius line up with the Soltices, as well as the Mexican ones lining up with their own solar calendar all these shared a common astronomical purpose and the geometry of Egypt’s and Mexico’s pyramids are so precise it’s mind blowing hard to believe they even managed that back then
