First off, he wasn't a deadbeat father on Lost. The entire concept behind his character was that he WAS a responsible father trying his best to bond with his estranged son. He tried to make things work out with his girlfriend, then the evil bytch went and TOOK his son to Australia, he sued for custody and only gave up the lawsuit because he knew he wasn't in a position to give Walt the life he deserved. He then went and got Walt after the Cac stepfather didn't want a black child and did his best to protect him during their time on the island. Michael was probably one of the best examples of Black fatherhood in a mainstream television show in the past couple of years, the fact that that he never truly got the proper reconciliation with Walt that the character deserved was one of the many flaws with the show

Either you've never watched the show or your trolling. Walt never hated Michael. He felt resentful towards him for never being there when in fact the true story was that Michael had fought for YEARS to be a part of his son's life. After Walt understood that he and Michael reconciled.

Michael didn't "leave" Walt simply to go back to the island he went back to atone for the decision he made to abandon them. He made that decision in order to SAVE Walt and once Walt was safe he went back to find redemption. A major theme of the island is that you cannot truly be free until it's "done" with you . Michael still had work to due and a part to play. The reason he never seas him again was because he died aboard the boat.

no, he left because he couldn't take care of his kid, he had nothing once he left that island, hence why he left the kid with his grandma

So you say you've seen the show which means you obviously seen the season 4 episode "Meet Kevin Johnson " which chronicles EVERYTHING that happened to Walt and Michael since leaving the island. Michael was suffering from grief, depression, and extreme guilt over killing Hurley's girlfriend Lindsey and betraying the rest of the group. He couldn't live with the guilt and kept seeing visions of the people he betrayed. This was implied as the Island not allowing Michael to forget what her done and that he needed to go back to help them. The only reason Michael betrayed them in the beginning was because he chose to save his son. If sacrificing your very moral soul for the life and well-being of his Son isn't the ultimate sacrifice of a good parent then I don't know what is

no, he did that shyt for nothing as all them fukking cacs died anyway and he could've stayed with his son and been a father for once

like these cowards that commit suicide because "life is too hard", it's easier to die than to live and handle business
