If you are referring to Urban stations, I can tell you that the #2 market in the country for radio stations has long catered to the bigger demographic in Latinos for quite a long time now.

its not dying, its always been like this you just never realized it. the labels run radio stations. its just to maxmize sales. i remember wale saying when his first album dropped his first album, songs were put only on pop stations, justifying why he flopped which is true.
