they didnt channel quik..quik was in the mix,, this was one of the time quik had his hands in stuff but couldnt get the credit due to the situation he had with profile..

profile would have milked janet n virgin for every dime they made on the velvet rope album

jimmy n terry returned the love by blessing quik to get the remix for all for you n a chance to eat off that album since he was finally free from profile

well i'll be damned! :ohhh:

i knew this sounded tooooo much like dj quik or at least g-one (who's basically an extension of quik)

profile was really in his pockets :damn:

i lost my copy of velvet rope but is quik listed under his govt name (like how he did with pac's all eyez on me) or an alias? i don't get why when he was doin' additional work for other people durin' his profile years why he didn't just keep usin' alias or names so that he could keep profile from diggin' in his pockets, unless he was doin this and i'm missin' somethin from how these contracts work?

but yeah, this now explains just how he linked up with the "all for you" remix now :wow:

quik really might be the most underrated hip hop producer in hip hop, bruh has had his hand in a lot of great music (janet, dr. dre, whitney, eminem, 50 etc)

Even with that Quik story, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis would always have beats that sounded similar to other producers. A few of their beats sound like Timbaland around that time. They're still legends though :yeshrug:

Janet's career fell off for good when she started fukking with Dupri, who convinced her to stop working with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis exclusively.

Timberlake pulling her titty out didn't help either. :russ:

That's sorta the same thing that happen wit joints he did wit R. Kelly (Home Alone w/ Keith Murray) and Dwele (Find A Way) I remember reading a long tone ago cause of issues wit his label he couldn't get the proper credit but G-One was credited which as mentioned is an extension of Quik. Same thing happened wit Pimp C and Jive to where he went under different aliases on the production side

Thats funny cause Puffy did the same thing to New Edition when he signed them to Bad Boy. Besides Janet NE had the best chemistry when working wit Jam and Lewis

the real hiphop.
I've always thought they did try to sound like Quik on this song, didn't know it was actually him though. I thought the same about "Got til Its Gone", how they imitated Jay Dilla/The Ummah's sound to the teeth; turns out Dilla actually produced that joint behind the scenes.

But on another note, Janet from '92-'98 was soo fukking sexy. She'd always push her titties up like a muhfukka. :damn: "I Get So Lonely" music video is a prime example of that. :banderas::wow::ohlawd:
