Let's go down the list. No scrubs that barelly play.

Jeff Teague is pretty good imo and his player tracking stats are awesome. But hawks trap a lot on pick n rolls so that kind of inflates his stats. Still he looks good from what I've seen but his defensive real plus minus is trash.

Isiah Thomas has nice numbers on player tracking but bad plus minus stats. From the eye test he tries hard but is too small to be elite.

Kemba Walker - stats and eye test show he is much improved and above aberage but not great.

Rose - stats and eye test, below aberage this year.

Kyrie is trash.
Delly is really good but he is almost a scrub and has trouble with really quick guys like Wall and Russ.

Deron - haven't seen enough this year tbh but from what I saw and stats, he is average.

Mudiay is a rookie, has potential on that end but is horrible for now.

Reggie Jackson is average at best

Steph is actually pretty good plays really smart D. Gets a lot of critics on that end but bball breakdown just dropped a 12 min video showing him playing great D. Stats show that he is elite at his position. He got killed by Wall/Westbrook types but who doesn't? He may be the best rn actually

George Hill no

Beverley kind of overrated on that end
Plays really hard one on one but because of that gets blown by and called for fouls. Also often out of position on team d.

CP3 - great team defender. A little undersized, hasn't commited as much to D this year because he has to do so much on offense. Half the coli apparently thinks he is trash.

Russel - :dead:

Conley - is ok but overrated on this end, low effort start of the season, falls asleep on rotations. Started to pick it up but got injured.

Dragic - his D stats are close to elite and every time I've watched he has been terrific this year. Has the size and good quickness, maybe a little overrated due to Whitesides help D.

MCW ain't great but bucks are hard to judge because of that funky D

Rubio has great D plus minus and is a good team defender but they are so young and play such bad D as a team he is hard to judge
I've seen him get dominated a lot in one on one situations. Partly due to bad team D

Calderon :dead:

Jrue has been solid in the past but terrible this season.

Elfrid shows flashed but still learning.

Westbrook doesn't get out to shooters, goes under screens to much, too many risks for steals and rebounds. Lazy D but potential is there

Ish is trash

Bledsoe been out

Lillard is trash
Rondo is trash

Parker is ok but great team D makes him look better than he is. His player tracking and plus minus numbers aren't great. Patty is better but not elite.

Lowry is pretty good, is a candidate. His def plus minus and player tracking are good but not off the charts. Similar story on eye test.

Shelvin Mack ????

John Wall is amazing one possession, falls asleep the next.. Could be number 1 potentially but inconsistent effort and lack of focus and mentality hurts him

Basically TL:DR:
Steph Curry and Goran Dragic are prob the best defensive PGs in the league unless I Missed someone. With Wall, Lowry, Teague and Delly also being pretty solid.

Cory Joseph is good too but he guards a lot of SGs playing alongside lowry. Playing a lot of minutes with Biyombo, Patterson and Ross makes him look good too.

So the best defensive PGs are Dennis Schroder and Marcus Smart according to what we got so far. But out of the bigger names (like guys that actually start) no one disagrees Curry and Dragic are the best?
So i don't want to hear that Steph sucks on D anymore if the only 2 PGs y'all can name better than him aren't good enough to even start

yea he has trouble with quick pgs like wall and westbrook, but who doesn't?

if delly was starting, his D numbers would be even better

Curry guards the weakest link on the other offense:what:

And you also can't knock other guys down for their team being good defensively but give Curry a bump when his defensive stats are good specifically cause his teammates are great defenders:dahell:

Austin Rivers has been the best defensive guard period this season though
