Jaden has the potential to be the next Lupe. Real talk.

I agree with Lupe. I don't agree with your choice of Wale either though. He's what I like to call a faux intellectual. Sure, he tries to dig deep, but the topics he addresses aren't inherently complex nor do they deserve that much scrutiny to begin with.

Guwop. He's an idiot savant

I think Joe Budden is very intelligent. Jay-Z is brilliant. And though he tries to hide it, I think Rozay is actually quite intelligent as well.

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but Gucci is leaps and bounds more thoughtful of a person than most trap artists out there. Not to mention he has a very sharp business mind.

I'm surprised you Budden, I thought I was one of very few who thought so also.

He might be a clown at times, but there's something there. Ross is an interesting pick. I think he's good at manipulating how people perceive him... which is to some degree a sign of intelligence, or at least awareness.

I thought about 3Stacks and had to go back and add Eminem. Em is "technically" the best lyricist ive ever heard. Add to that his sense of humor and superb storytelling, he's the goat in my opinion. Wale is my fav "new school" artist. He kicks that spoken-word alot which impressed me. He's extremely gifted. I agree on his lack of topicr but his wordplay is elite. That joint with Jeremih "The Body" could be studied in universities on how to craft an entire song on an analogy. Dude is the most underrated lyricist. He's ALREADY in my top 10 all-time

Maybe this current Lupe, yeah. Pre Lasers some of his lyrics I thought were actually very thought provoking. If you could stomach the awful production that is... But I digress.
Lupe lost me after the first F&L. He says a lot of poignant things now and again. He means well, he's just gotten way too dashiki, sandals and capris for me.
