Please tell me this is just an elaborate prank
Tracy Kiss, the 28-year-old ex-glamor model that is now a fashion blogger and mother, still looks great. And she has now spewed her secret online: She rubs semen on her face every week.
Kiss suffers from rosacea, which causes redness to the skin and she claims that her sperm facials do the trick.
How this lovely British woman came about this method is the obvious question -- and it was after a skin care professional thought she should try an acid facial for her rosacea.
So, as one naturally would, I guess she turned to semen.
"Semen builds babies, they come out very soft and have beautiful skin, and it leaves my skin nice and soft, so I'm very happy to use this as a facial," she stated. "It feels like a face pack that pulls the skin inwards, it feels so glossy to wipe it off. It's like having a kind of oil on the face or a wax where it just glides beautifully against the water. It's so cooling and soothing."
Okay then. I’ll just take your word for it.
Miss Kiss joins Heather Locklear in the “put some sperm on my face” club. In 2013, Locklear told TMZ about her beauty secret: “You just put semen on your face.”
Even former Cosmopolitan editor, Helen Gurley Brown, enjoys the sperm facial. In her book, I’m Wild Again, she suggests: “Spread semen over your face.”
But is this an actual thing? Or just a practice that only a few quacks do like snake handling or texting while driving?
Most dermatologists and skin experts aren’t jumping at the chance to toss some semen on their patients’ face. In fact, one dermatologist in Connecticut sent out a stern warning.
"Sexually transmitted diseases, like herpes, HIV and others could be transmitted, and there are many other better treatments for rosacea," she said.
Her thoughts were echoed by several other skin professionals and the semen-loving blogger did say that getting a supply of sperm is something you can’t just go pick up at 7/11 (in theory).
From her blog:
"Whoever you choose to provide a donation, it is important that you use the same caution you would around all bodily fluids, always ensure that they have had a sexual health check and are eating clean and nutritious food a few days before instead of smoking, drinking and binging on junk, or the quality will suffer.
"I would never condone using anonymous semen, and in no way encourage this to become a sexual act. I am simply looking at this from the angle of beauty. You have to strip away the shock-horror of the ingredients and any preconception of how it may feel, smell or look and base it solely on what it does."
