Last year and Linklater is far from locked to win it
I can't think of any film in 2014 that had showcased more monumental directing accomplishment than what Linklater did with Boyhood.
Let that man cook and win dem awards.
Now if Boyhood didn't come out in 2014 I would say that Alejandro González Inarritu would be the hands down favorite for Best Director.

Well the oscar aint that bad too, not as bad as the grammys. but i still cant believe how city of god didnt win best picture yet alone nominated for it. goodfellas too. they mess up quite alot.
Well that's the thing it's all about voters. And you have to be ok with the fact that humans error and won't always see it the way we see it :whoknows: It's fun to talk about but I never really take it personally or feel like it's some crazy weird thing or crooked. And as far as the grammys go, I've never given a shyt about them anyway because as a hip hop fan, I feel it's my duty
I thought Ava DuVernay would have a really good shot at the Oscar before the overblown backlash about Selma's authenticity started.
