Ehhh show me something from 2009.

2011 Kendrick with section 80 was getting alot of love

Don't allign what was popping in the underground with what was popping above ground.

Kendrick was a nobody in NYC, 2011. As you clearly see in my post ol boy didn't even know who he was.

I was fukking with Weezy in 2004 when he had the Sqad up mixtapes that were free on their site. I felt like a proud dad when everyone jumped on his nuts 3 years later :obama:

Stopped fukking with him in 08 tho.

I notice with a lot of your posts you base everything on what "NY" was playing. Them days been over NY don't dictate anything.

This thread should be for rappers who really were nobodies. Kendrick was getting mad love.

Off the strength of OP mentioning J. Cole shows he was bandwagon status in late 2011. J. Cole aint produced for no one outside of himself and still hasnt really done that. Not a good look @smokeurobinson .

Show me when you fukked with Kendrick BEFORE Dre & Cole.

He was in the spotlight because Jay Rock was on Warner since like 07-08

2011 Kendrick was getting MAJOR love. He was on Aftermath at that time. OP was mad late. Here is Dre showing up to Kendrick's show in 11.

:what:

This makes absolutly no sense. This has nothing to do with what NYC was dictating

the title says "underdog"

in 2011...Kendrick was just that. He was still underground status fool. He wasn't a manistream figure.

You keep saying he was getting love..Duh!....Its right there in the op...he was getting love from me fool......You know who else was getting love? Fred Da Godson and King Los and Jay Rock and Bishop Lamont and Glasses Malone fool. None of the names I just mentioned blew up yet and neither did Kendrick.

Are you gonna sit there and tell me that Kendrick Lamar was super big in 2011 like he is now ?

:martin:

You'd be a liar if you said he was.

And Yes...If u wanna add on to who u were rooting for who was an underdog who blew up go right ahead like @Trajan did.

Kendrick was internet big and doing tours and shows that Glasses and Bishop never seen in their careers. Plus before you made that post in December, Kendrick was all over the BET HipHop awards. So even tho he might not have been as big as he is now, he certainly had the exposure.
