"Thrift Shop" is a fun song and serves its purpose whether it's a "great" song or not. People can hate but I willing to bet a lot of rappers wish they'd have made it first. He's no deep surgeon on the mic but dude has flow. That can't be denied. Can't knock that (personally).

I feel like a lot of the-Coli only heard Thrift Shop and maybe Same Love and passed judgment. He can actually really rhyme, make dope concept tracks, cohesive projects etc etc. Let some of you tell it and he's Mac Miller on the mic or something. If he never blew up, he'd be one of those skilled but kinda dry non-Slug/Brother Ali Rhymesayers cats nikkas always wanna call underrated.
Son was a hero of the "real hip-hop" crowd not too long ago, which is the great irony in his career. A little gloss and now he's cac america's champ.
