But nothing as telling as Jeremy Lane's sit v. oppression.
Not only is it a stance to fight v. systematic white supremacy which is a crime in itself. His skin color is dark. He represents even the melanated side that I can't reach, Eric Reid can't reach and Colin clearly can't reach in a system of white supremacy as he is the least privileged in the color structure as we all note. His body language represents the modern Black man. Discontent. In his work uniform or jumpsuit. Hope seems far but misery seems all so close. Not fully sure what he needs to know but knows he's had enough. This might be one of the single greatest pictures I've seen in my lifetime v. white supremacy. Because he's not fighting showing what he wants us to be like the others before him. He is showing us what we are and that he's had enough.
God Bless Jeremy Lane.
