Not that related to your post to honest, but I find it funny how we all use the term "strong style" when that shyt isn't even a real style
it's a tag line New Japan has always marketed to show that their brand of wrestling is better than the rest ("King of Sports uses Strong Style"). Like, you see today's matches and they have nothing in common with the 70's, 80's and 90's besides stiffness...and that shyt can't be considered a damn "style" of wrestling because that can be found anywhere.
We do the same with King's Road style. I guess we are a little more protective of it because 90' to 97' was such an amazing run but up until 2 weeks ago, All Japan was still promoting "King's Road Style" as their brand of wrestling
Puro definitely has a defined way of presenting and delivering a match. Fighting spirit and stiff strikes are a huge part of puroresu and going back to the original topic, a guy like Nakamura should totally be presented as someone that has an unique way of wrestling. But I don't know, I guess having so many people these days bring up "strong style" as a legit thing made me go a little dense on the subject.
