Please DO NOT move to Race Track. I feel everyone needs to see this!
:patrice:u know what i love about jews, before the holocaust (even more so after) their community(the way they go about) is so tight, outsiders (other races)cant just jump in and try become "best buddies" so to speak

same goes for some Asian communities(Indians,Chinese etc)

hopefully soon, after we sort out the issues with ourselves but also other races issues with us(specially the situation we are currently discussing ) we will then "close the door" and build our own tight close nit community

Us Blacks have become too accepting, letting any and everybody in our circle. Am I racist? Not really, but we need to start building with each other, supporting our own.

One thing i hate seein is a Black person bein afraid to be around other Black ppl. I never been like that. I've always been more comfortable around my ppl.

Then, you got those Blacks who hang out exclusively with white ppl. That right there is a lost person

These 2 quotes got me thinking brehs. Is Black Nationalism the answer?

What can we do to to promote our own ala the original Black Panthers?

I want our people to be recognized for something other than foolishness.

I'm tired of images of rappers/actors (who dont give a damn) representing us!

I'm tired of demeaning our women, devaluing the black family, promoting drugs within our community, and always thinking short term.

We need to strike now while this is in the forefront of our people's minds.

Please tell me all this activism and awareness will NOT go to waste.

What can we do to collectively change our perception locally and globally?

I realize this cannot happen over night and will require a lengthy commitment.

I'm all for equality but this needs to only include OUR people for the time being.

All ideas are welcome.

Is Black Nationalism the answer?

Although most Black leaders, including Martin Luther King Jr., weren’t prescient enough to predict such a bleak future, Malcolm X seems to have predicted the outcome.

In a speech, Malcolm X said Blacks didn’t have the moral high ground to criticize whites for job discrimination when Blacks themselves hadn’t begun to set up factories and job opportunities. As far as Malcolm X was concerned, Blacks would live their lives as beggars so long as they didn’t put forth a collective effort to raise capital for the benefit and betterment of the Black community.

In Malcolm’s mind, Blacks seemed to be at a standstill, and wouldn’t progress until we understood how to pool wealth. If Malcolm X were still alive, I doubt that he’d be surprised that the response of Black leaders to both social and economic injustice is still, decades later, to plan a march. It’s all we know. It’s the tool of the powerless and penniless.

Regardless of how you feel about Black nationalism, the data doesn’t lie.

Nationalism has failed nations and people time and time again.

The idea of Black Nationalism is faulty, mainly due to the fact your pushing for a form of racial/ethnic pride that one would have to have ties to a nation. Who exactly would be allowed in a "black" nation? What is the criteria? What about blacks who have a cac mama or daddy or have been adopted by cac's? Where does this put Afro-Latinos?

Also, what's stop other nations from invading?

Only problem is, where exactly would this nation be? Can't be in Africa, we weren't born there. And I'm not pushing out nobody who was originally from a body land just so we could set up so nonsensical racial classit hierarchy where those on the bottom get shyt on even more.

Link up with other blacks; pool your resources together to establish some type of employment, it can be as little as a $10 /hr for 2 hrs a week. Once you establish some employment and continue to do it, people will likely start to buy in and support(see Marcus Garvey and UNIA w/ newspaper and toy factories), then offer business loans to start businesses in English speaking African countries. Once you go from business loans, step to African leaders to offer them money for infrastructure in exchange for things like repatriation or subsidized housing loans.

Not saying this is a sure fire plan, but it's something to consider :manny:

Black nationalism doesn't necessarily mean starting a new nation... we'd need to either defeat an existing nation or have west nations and the un kill a bunch of brown people they way they did for the non Semitic cac jews in the 40s.

It does involve buying property, being conscious about our money, not supporting cac or 'minority' businesses unless we have to and education of our youth by us.. completely avoiding certain media outlets as much as possible.... and completely boycotting companies that support those that promote negative images of us.

Going to the UN... as a formality.
Working in our urban areas to enlighten the ignorant , people under the age of 24 mainly.

Some of the stuff I practice in my own life and business... I guess would b considered racist... and eventually we need to realize why none of this is racist if we do it. Pro black isn't anti anything else

segregation was/is wrong totally, but one great thing it did was force us to build a black community,we had our own food spots, our own barbers, our own business, that WE owned

jewish people have der own sections all over the world in major cities where businesses are thriving because they put back into community, building relationships with each other.

instead of these rap artist( jay, diddy, birdman n 50 included) teasing us with what they have or by posting " a day in the life of...:dwillhuh:."etc,teach us how to start independently, build within ,be the brain that Pac "sparked"

that's all i'm asking for anyway

I wish we could get some type of social media campaign to show how desegregation fukked us in the long run.

You could easily start off with education. The quality of "black" schools aren't comparable to their white counterparts.

Or we could link up with Black feminist and show the effects of devaluing the importance of the black family.

Although ALOT of feelings would be hurt during that conversation, WE NEED TO BE HONEST WITH OURSELVES ABOUT OURSELVES.

segregation was/is wrong totally,

Its a double edge sword for me.

Even MLK had his regrets:
Martin Luther King Jr. talking to Harry Belafonte: “I said, ‘What’s the matter, Martin? You seem very agitated.’ He said, ‘Well, I am, because I’ve come upon a thought that I don’t know how to deal with at this moment.’ I said, ‘Well, what is it?’ He said, ‘We’ve fought long for integration. It looks like we’re gonna get it. I think we’ll get the laws,” he says. “But I’m afraid that I’ve come upon something that I don’t know quite what to do with. I’m afraid that we’re integrating into a burning house.’”

exactly, that's where it should start, schools,if it means offering black teens from 15year old + internships(from stars like diddy,50 etc) as soon school finishes,3 days a week for 4 hours ,keeping them off the streets and showing them the value of hard work

or better yet, build a school/college (are you telling me the top 5 hip hop stars /athletes/entertainers cant come together and build a non profit school !! ?). show them how to juggle school work and a job.

How can we save other blacks when we can't save ourselves.,

Step 1: make a resume or fill out a job application..

fukk working for THEM! We need to start putting money back into our own and their business.

Working for them will continue this cycle.

We need interdependence the most IMO.

I really want to disassociate with the rappers and people of their ilk until they quit exploiting our women and stop glorifying destructive lifestyles.
Again, these people are major reason we are in the situation we are in now. There are many others of US(CEO's, etc) that don't sellout to earn $$ and we can show having money is not okay if its at your people's expense.

Bring mma to impoverished areas.

Become a big brother

More tutoring programs

Spend money in black areas

More youth summer programs

Encourage black people to learn how to use rifles and pistols. Sadly.

You need capital for capitalism..tell me how you're gonna get the money and acquire the goods
There are plenty of black business. We need to STOP being so quick to be inclusive.

Most Asian and Indian businesses only hire their people.
