Its pretty obvious why we're the #8 forum. So lets turn down the trollin and ramp up the real conversations on hip hop.

  33. Here Comes the Fuzz - Mark Ronson
  34. Mississippi: The Album - David Banner
  35. Mississippi The Album 2: Baptized in Dirty Water - David Banner
  36. Street Dreams - Fabolous

  39. Big Money Heavyweight - Big Tymers
  40. Living Legend - B.G.
  41. Raw & Uncut - Turk
  42. Years Later...A Few Months After - Soulja Slim
  43. Philaphornia - Young Roscoe
  44. AttenCHUN! - Bone Crusher
  45. Monster - Killer Mike
This is a quick list. I know I'm missing albums. Just PM me what I need to add to the OP and I will.

With that said, what are your views and opinions a decade later. Sonically what has lasted the test of time? If you could go back in time, what albums would you ABSOLUTELY buy/download again?

How old do you feel realizing that you've been listening to some of these songs for 10 years?

If forced to compile a mix CD for your homies of 2003 music, what songs would you fit on your 90mn disk? (however many songs that is)

I feel old brehs!! I have like 75% of that list as we speak!! I feel like that was the last great year for the ROC and they went out with some memorable music, especially Freeway, you can still play that album today and sound just as fresh... that joint with Faith "Don't cross the line" :wow: Obie def had bangers in that first album, I would have never guessed the Ownerz would be the LAST Gangstarr album, Get Rich or Die Trying feels like it came out yesterday :sadcam: and I'll go as to say Lil' Kim's album still stands today :obama: Now i'm going to get out of this thread, you def are making me reminisse hardcore on that year, i'm in shock at how time flies :whew:

lol you got these albums in their physical form or as downloaded files???

Yeah as I was compiling this list, I couldn't believe that these albums came out in the same year. If you asked me, I would've spread this list out over 3 years.

Def cosign the Obie comment. I thought dude put out a solid joint. I thought that Em push would keep the movement moving

Yes I have them in the physical form, I still buy cds till this day, i can't get with DLing albums, it just doesn't feel right to me, you should see my collection of cds. Obie did real good numbers if I can recall, his first week was 250,000, something unheard of with a new artist in today's world. He went platinum as well.

in 2003 Kay Slay was still king of the exclusives...The internet wouldnt take that spot from him till about 1 to 2 years later.

2003 was also the year that Beyonce became the queen.
