Swear I'll never understand the whole fashion scene.:ld: Runways, anorexia, homosexuals, cocaine, clothing that is never seen on anyone off the runway :skip: Then on top of that you've dudes like Ye and A$ap bending over (possibly in the literal sense) backwards to be part of it all. What is it about that scene that would attract anybody Black? I'm immediately repulsed by much of what is part of that industry. I dont get it. Dont get the hypebeast Supreme sh!t either. Guess I'm :flabbynsick: status.

The money that orbits the scene. There are folks with stupid, i'm talking :krs: levels of wealth, and they simply operate as consumers of high end "culture" and invest their :whoo:bags of money into folks and new trends that could be tied into any new wave

I salute A$AP Bari for seeing these cats as a come up...same with Virgil and Heron Preston. Atleast they creating more of a lane for black designers than there already was.

Can't speak on Virgil or Heron but it really seems to me that VLONE and bari's movement is a response in some ways to the foolery they have been able to witness and take part of on a high fashion level.

It was interesting how quickly Rocky and the movement were accepted on an accessory level by big name fashion houses, they saw them as more of an aesthetic of "street, lawlessness, and potentially high fashion thugs" to wear and claim for a season

Asap and crew prolly saw the stupid amounts of guala drifting around with no direction:demonic:
, and started something lowkey(vlone) that wouldn't be acceptable by high fashion clowns until it had reached critical mass(aka nowish) and engaged the culture of social media and music

Yep...they found their way in the door.

Now that the fashion world is in literaly anything goes mode, the door is open for people to follow that's why at the end of the day I respect people like Bari.
