I remember in the 90s and early 2000s when OTs first found out about Crips and Bloods, and every rapper wanted to be a Crip. Now in 2014, rappers want to be Bloods. Gangs out here have been killing each other for 40 years, and rappers like Birdman get on it like it's something cool...it's pretty sad.
In LA, dudes claiming to be Crip and Blood get put to the test daily when they see their enemies out and about. That sh*t is nothing to play with if you're not serious about it. That's the difference between the real and the fake; only the real ones claim their set when they're caught alone by their enemies. Which I don't imagine any of these industry dudes doing.
