Uber Passenger Gets Hit By A Car After Her Driver Allegedly Rapes, Kidnaps, And Boots Her From His Vehicle - Crime Feed
taxi drivers gonna use this for further crucifixion of uberAn Uber driver in South Carolina, who is also a sixth-grade middle school teacher, is accused of attacking and sexually assaulting an intoxicated female passenger, The Post and Courier reports.
The suspect has been identified as 39-year-old Patrick Aiello. The incident, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the publication, says the driver picked up the victim and a male friend on Sunday evening from the Windjammer on Isle of Palms. The driver allegedly first drove them to the male passenger’s Charleston home.
“The woman also exited the vehicle but was intoxicated and didn’t want to walk home in the dark, so she asked Aiello if he could drop her off a few blocks away,” the report said.
Instead of making that drop, Aiello is accused of driving around aimlessly while telling the rider to pay him in sexual favors.
The 23-year-old, afraid of what might happen next, offered to pay Aiello extra money, but that wasn’t good enough – he was allegedly demanding more physical contact. That was when the publication says he stopped the car on the side of the road and attacked and sexually assaulted the woman.
If that wasn’t enough, Aiello reportedly then kicked the woman out of the car, forcing her to run to the highway, where she was struck by a vehicle. Luckily she survived and was transported to a hospital.
Police arrived and showed her a lineup. She identified Aiello immediately, and he wasarrested the next evening.
Officials say she was a victim of “forcible rape.” As for Aiello’s status at the local middle school, Charleston County spokesperson told the publication he is on paid administrative leave while the investigation continues.
Aiello is facing charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping. Bail was denied. Uber is currently seeking she pay the fees that were accumulated
