Honestly? I think he was mad underrated. Very solid in the ring, comedy chops for days, charismatic, now a very good trainer.

Feel like I should give him higher than a 6 cause he was extreme over in both ECW and the first couple of years of his WWE tenure, but I can't really go higher just cause his gimmick(s) pretty much kept a ceiling over him. It's a very favorable 6 though. He was a very popular mid-card comedy face for a huge chunk of his peak, played every character well no matter what it was, had nice themes (my favorite was his heel them in late 99), was a definitive character during the most popular era in wrestling, and I think was a very underrated worker, it's just that due to his gimmicks, they didn't really call for him to expand his arsenal. Being a staple of the Hardcore Division will do that as well, but he was highly entertaining during that time period. He was even entertaining during his short heel turn in his feud with the Rock in 1999. That dynamic between him, Rock, and Mankind made for a lot of good segments. Til this day, pinning The Rock in that Bullrope Match may be his biggest win :laff:

. Can't think of any classic matches, but his feud with Rock, Bossman, and being a staple of the Hardcore Division were always notable to me. Same thing with teaming with Steve Blackman. Those were some downright hilarious segments, and with the way the WWE currently is, it makes you realize how awful today's "comedy" is. Outside of Tough Enough, Snow was pretty much aimless for the rest of his WWE tenure. I remember him being European champ and dressing up as different Europeans, but I don't remember much else. He had a pretty good run during Impact as well from what I saw as a heel, and seemed to be in pretty good shape for his age too.

As July came to a close I began appearing at a few shows as an added bonus for the hard working fans. My first night back was at the Meadowlands in New Jersey. It was one of the few nights in my career when I became flustered in front of a crowd. I was welcomed back with a nice ovation and decided to make my first public words an Al Snow joke. I picked the wrong one. This was actually a dressing-room classic, but is humor didn't seem to translate outside those confines. 'Hello, New Jersey,' I began--always a cheap, easy way to get pop. 'You know, right before I came out here, a kid asked me if I had seen Al Snow's last match. I looked at the kid and said---'I certainly hope so!'' I waited to be bathed in wave after wave of laughter, but...nothing.

Dude was pretty solid in ring and always performed on camera/Wrestled his matches in character which is lost art. One negative that comes to mind is his ceiling as a performer. He defiantly is a comedic/mid card wrestler at best but he defiantly is a guy that you could use on your roster 7.0/10

I actually met him back when I was 10. My dad took me to a houseshow for my birthday and we get to the arena early as hell. So, we decide to grab some Wendy's. we're waiting in line and I notice Al Snow at the cash register and next thing you know he starts to chop it up with my dad and then he starts talking to me about WWF for a couple of minutes. He was pretty cool and he'll always get a :salute:

He had absolutely no charisma to me during his WWF run. DUring his TNA run and his especially in his current anti-smark gimmick on the internet I find him very entertaining. Charisma/star powers a 5.

Ring is 5. Not much to say here, he's pretty unremarkable but isn't bad.

Mic- 3. His current anti-smark promos in shoot interviews and whatnot are hilarious and compelling, but his actual wrestling run sh1t was completely forgettable promo-wise.

4 overall. He probably could've had a more interesting actual career, judging by how he comes off in interviews now, but as it was it wasn't very memorable.

Only got over with silly gimmicks. When he had a chance to do his own solo run after him and Steve Blackman broke up, he was using no gimmicks and he wasn't over. Very boring and unremarkable overall. Great at comedy when he would do it, and just decent in the ring, he never was going to be an A lister. Without those gimmicks we would probably never be talking about him at all. I know he's teaching a new generation of wrestlers but whatever it is he's understanding now, he wasn't able to do for himself in the past. I'm not sure he's the best hand for teaching students anything outside of the basics in the ring and timing for jokes.

A 6 is fair and not demeaning at all for him.

That ECW entrance was fukking epic, he could talk and he could work. Plus he knew how to make gold out of some real dirt at times.

If he was in the shape he’s in now during the attitude Era Vince mighta given him even more to work with.
