If it was purely off his Hall of Pain run he'd be a legit 10 but pre-2011 he didn't really have much to write home about in his wrestling career

He’s gonna get a lot of attention for his 2011 Hall of Pain run, and that later brief 2013 resurgence that peaked with the salmon suit jacket promo, but really Mark Henry had been quietly putting in work for years. He might’ve had a HOP like run sooner had injuries not plagued him, because he was getting over as a mid card monster on RAW and later SD but injuries kept derailing him. His ECW title run is like the prototype for what would come later on. That Hall of Pain run really was an all time great run, full of dope character moments and ad libs. I’ve been trying to find a backstage promo he did prior to that run where he cried and vowed he’d win the WHC but I can’t find it.

His Attitude era run was...interesting to say the least, but he deserves credit for sticking with it and making the most of what he was given. That was all allegedly designed to get him to quit out of his lucrative, long term contract, but obviously it didn’t work, much to his and the fans benefit. Now that he’s in a backstage role he deserves some credit for what he’s contributed to the industry in that role and as a whole. Also he deserves credit for being insanely gif-able. All in all I give him a strong 8.

Could’ve been a 10 had he gotten the 2010-2013 booking a decade earlier. He was a monster who could do comedy shtick because you and he knew he could rip
your head off.

When I was a kid I though sexual chocolate and the hand shyt was so funny. Im glad he wasn’t just a monster heal his whole career. My favorite wrestlers are always the ones who had memorable moments not just title runs. I thought he was on his way out when he teamed with mvp but he got that second wind. 9
